It seems to me I have always had at least one camera. I can’t remember what I had for a first camera, probably one of those Kodak Instamatic’s with the flash cubes. I have always enjoyed trying to capture that special image. Each year I raise my personal bar on the quality and creativity in my captures. The advent of digital cameras has gone a long way to expanding my capabilities. I originally worked with film and even had a darkroom. Today, you can take the shot and instantly see the result affording you the opportunity to retake and not have to wait 2 weeks for processing, as was the case in years gone by. I like to shoot Nature. I find people too critical of their own image so I avoid that subject whenever possible. I belong to two local camera clubs and serve on the board of a 22 club Council as its secretary. It’s a great hobby and it keeps me searching for that money shot. I now look at all things in a different light. It’s amazing what you miss in your surroundings on a day to day basis.
